🔌 Plug-in news Tweakwise - Adobe Commerce, Hyvä & Mage-OS Nederland! New updates for the Tweakwise Hyvä and Luma plug-in; In this release, there are major changes made to personalization for Magento based customers. Personalization now requires the use of Varnish (a caching engine) in Magento. This is needed because the product tiles are now cached. For a long time I have been the only women in the room but the good news is that that is changing. More women in digital who have a leading role. I truly believe a company, a team or a group is more interesting and capable if there is diversity. Not only on gender but on every aspact that makes me me and you you. Two passionate students from Amsterdam that followed the Caempus growth program, and created a smart sollution that can save up millions of euros in the animation business. Today at the SaaS Summit Benelux in Amsterdam, I realized something: LinkedIn posts and event stands work in much the same way. So here is a Linkedin post about an event stand ;) I've always been driven by the energy of massive crowds. That's why I started my career in events in 2009 (Cape Town International Convention Centre). As Linkedin was basically also a massive crowd, I created my profile here the same year. Equal active time, so this comparison starts fair. Now, let's see what similarities both share: 1. Purpose - LinkedIn posts share insights and stories, building a brand presence. - Event stands showcase expertise, building a brand presence. 2. Audience engagement - LinkedIn posts reach broad audiences through shares and comments, building digital connections. Event stands facilitate live conversations and interactions, building live connections. 3. Visual appeal - LinkedIn posts with strong visuals draw attention and make the first impression. Event stand design is the “visual content,” attracting attendees and making that first impression. There are probably more similarities than differences. It's funny how both help grow awareness, build relationships, and generate leads—just in different ways. So what happens when you apply both? Using varnish enterprise with their magento offer, is a very good investment. One of the problems of magento’s varnish implementation, is its very conservative approach to clearing cache. For a busy website that will mean nothing ever remains in varnish cache. Varnish enterprise gives y-key based softpurge - or stale-while-revalidate. This means for a grace period, one can serve stale content when varnish gets the update content from magento.

About 5 years ago, Dennis Figge and I were leading the CRM team at Schiphol. He wrote a article (Dutch) about our implementation of a personalized lifecycle timeline that displayed all emails (past / current / future) in regards of their reservation, allowing subscribers to know what to expect or opt out in advance. Each subscriber's timeline could vary based on their reservation details, timing, and opt-ins. While the unsubscribe rate remained the same, the user experience improved significantly based on the feedback we received. It might be something you could consider implementing too 💡 We also wanted to displayed the upcoming commercial offer emails that subscribers hadn't opted in for—grayed out—and provided the option for them to opt-in to those emails as well. Ultimately, we didn't finish this feature, but I still think it was a great idea 😊.
